The Hands' Good Neighbor Garage

Vehicle Maintenance Program

Here at Hands of The Carpenter, we understand that receiving a vehicle or assistance with vehicle repairs is only the beginning of the journey of vehicle ownership. We ask a lot of our cars, so they require regular upkeep and occasional repairs.

We have a two year Vehicle Maintenance Program that all of our clients are enrolled in upon receiving one of our vehicle placements or after completing repairs through our repair program. Here are the details.

Contact our Good Neighbor Garage team to learn more.

Year 1

  1. Repairs and periodic maintenance at 35% retail value (for authorized repairs that are economically feasible – not including air conditioning, engine or transmission work, or repairs due to accident, theft or vandalism.)

  2. We offer you four oil changes for $15 each which included all needed materials. If you complete three out of the four visits during this first year, you graduate to “Year 2” of the program.

  3.  Education concerning your vehicle to both empower you with knowledge and equip you to prevent potential vehicle crisis.

Year 2

  1. Repair and periodic maintenance services at 50% retail value (for authorized repairs that are economically feasible – not including air conditioning, engine or transmission work, or repairs due to accident, theft or vandalism.)

  2.  Education concerning your vehicle to both empower you with knowledge and equip you to prevent potential vehicle crisis.

Graduating

After the second year of service, you will graduate from our program. It is our hope that after two years of servicing your vehicle, we have helped you in your journey to self-sufficiency with a vehicle that is safe and reliable.

We're still serving!

UPDATED 3/30/20:
As an essential business, Hands is open!

Operating with the highest level of care, our team is continuing to serve women who come for help and hope.

You can have an immediate impact through financial gifts, or offering a vehicle as a gift in our vehicle donation program.

Single women in need are still needing to get to the store, get to doctor’s appointments and provide for their families. 60% of the women in Hands’ two year repair, maintenance and education program have reported having lost a job, had reduced hours/pay or their business has closed all together. 40% suggest that their vehicle currently needs maintenance or repair. Transportation is a necessity – Please be a champion for them today!
