Monica – Having a reliable and safe vehicle is everything to a single working mom!

Monica is a single working mom who supports and cares for two children, Alexis who is age 15, and her son Jovanni, age 6. She was impacted by COVID-19, where she was laid off of her job and was not called back when the business reopened. She was also experiencing major issues with a vehicle she had purchase in May, 2020.

As a single mom, finances are stretched and sometimes limited. It was important for Monica to have a job to support her children. Monica was able to get back to work by obtaining a position counting money at a casino. She needed reliable transportation for work that she looked at other options for transportation when she found Hands of The Carpenter. She applied for the Lift UP program and was approved for the program.

We’re thrilled to report that on April 13, 2021, Hands of the Carpenter placed Monica with 2005 Honda CRV. She says, “having a reliable and safe vehicle to get to work and transport her children to school is everything.” Monica is grateful for what Hands does to help single working moms.
