Johnne – A Young Mother and a New Start

Johnne is a young single mother who has twins, a girl and a boy who are one year old. She moved back to Colorado last year leaving behind the father of her children and made the decision to no longer be involved with him. Upon arrival, she was immediately hired at a major store, and has been working ever since serving customers, even through COVID-19. She heard about Hands through Jefferson County Human Services in January 2020.

We’re excited to share that Hands was able to place a vehicle with Johnne and her young children in the spring of 2020!

Johnne doesn’t let the obstacles get in her way. She has been motivated and working towards finding stability to care for her children. She says, “Having a vehicle to help transport us to and from appointments and daycare, I’m able to achieve my goals.” Johnne is thankful to the Hands community for the support shown through the placement process and is excited to have received transportation she can rely on.
