Hands Moving to Golden

Welcome to the city of golden sign

Hands and Hands Automotive will be moving locations in the coming months. We have lost the lease on the Hands Automotive property and decided that moving to a location that we own and can house both operations is the best case scenario. We recently located a property in Golden to do so.

Because the timing was not our decision (lost lease), there isn’t proper time now for a formal capital fundraising campaign. We have impact investors standing by to help with the bulk of the resources necessary for the short term. We will hold a capital campaign in the future. I’m asking for your help in supporting this move with your treasure, time and talent. Here are the current needs and I will share more as they arise:

1) We aim to raise $50,000 in 60 days to support the property purchase and improvements

a. $30,000 for an equity down payment
b. $20,000 for building improvements to be done before move in
c. Additional funds raised will support both direct service to women and to increase equity in the building

2) We need your talents for improvements

a. We will need relatively minor help from contractors (plumbing, heating, electrical, and likely others) to offer talents to this project just prior to move in
b. We will need to put up new signs on the exterior
c. We will need a lot surround (involving posts and chain or fencing)

3) Would you be able to offer time between now and moving day to help with special projects, moving vehicles, and other tasks to help make light work of a rather significant move?

4) Would you be in prayer for the details, time, energy and effort the Hands community will put into this move? I believe the women we are serving together are well worth it. The impact we can have on them will grow as a result of this move.

Hands continues to grow in the number of women we are able to impact and the support we provide while alleviating transportation obstacles. The purchase of the Good Neighbor Garage program last year quadrupled the number of vehicle donations which will make a significant impact on the women we get to serve together. Hands anticipates placing 40-45 vehicles with women this year in addition to the repair, maintenance and education offered. Moving to a new location will create significant time and effort efficiencies with all of our operations in one location.

I am confident that the Hands community can and will step up to meet these ministry needs in the next 60 days. Please connect with me directly at (303) 526-4488 or via email at dan@ehands.org to talk further. I know God will do great things through this opportunity. Please join in on it!
