Cecily – Devoted Mom of Four

Cecily is a single mom and a devoted mother who cares for her 4 children, ages 17, 10, and twins at 1 years old. She has worked for the Denver Public Schools for 16 years, and is currently working for them as a Facility Manager for one of the schools. The position she holds requires her to be available when the weather changes, particularly in the winter when it snows. She maintains the school grounds and parking lot to ensure the children and school staff are safe when walking in the building.

Last winter, her children were on half-time remote at home and half time in school. It was a difficult time to not have a reliable vehicle. But Cecily was relieved after being accepted into the Hands of The Carpenter Lift UP vehicle placement program. Cecily was going to have a reliable and safe vehicle! She says, “hard work has its rewards, and I keep pushing to the end.”

We’re excited to share that Cecily was placed in a 2006 Toyota Sienna van on 1/21/2022 at Hands of The Carpenter! She enjoys the vehicle’s amenities, the amount of room it has to transport her children, and is so excited for the electrical doors, where she can lock and unlock the doors remotely! She hopes that her story will inspire others to apply for the program at Hands of The Carpenter.
